Busy
Been busy lately. Watched Harry Hill's TV Burp being filmed on Tuesday in Teddington (did you know they film it in front of a studio audience? Me neither). Still love that man.
"What goes 99 klump?"
"An icecream man being mugged"
Then stayed up to watch Dobermann (see below). On Wednesday went to a work leaving do, ended up in the End nightclub near Tottenham Court Road. It was drum and bass night. I like drum and bass, but it's all the same innit? There is only so much variation you can have on a drum and bass track... Didn't get to sleep until 3am. Last night I went straight home after work and watched Eastenders. Alfie's younger brother said of Martin's girlfriend: "That's the woman of my dreams" Has he never open a magazine or watched a movie? I then fell asleep for the whole Liverpool match and woke up in time to watch Harry Hill's TV Burp again. What are the chances?! I also watched Scrubs on Channel 4. I wasn't initially impressed with Scrubs. I thought it was trying too hard, and had to many "wacky" fantasy sequences and "crazy" sound effects (someone throws incriminating evidence behind their back, then there is the generic sound of glass breaking, hilarious) but it is getting better. The characters are becoming fuller and real, unlike BBC2's tlc which is full of one dimensional stereotypes and jokes you can see parsecs away. Yesterday, Scrubs had celebrity cameo by California Man Brendon Fraiser, and because of the better characterisation and story's I actually felt a bit said when Dr Dorian (Zack Braff) told him he had leukaemia. Reece Shearsmith (him from League of Gentleman in which he plays many characters) has nothing to do with the non-entity of Dr Flynn. Ho ho, is he going to goof up, again. Ha ha Dr Noble (Alexander Armstrong) is going to be cynical and playing another joke on him. What's the cure for banal and this hackneyed affair? Lets hope it's terminal.
