8 Smile
Watched 8 Mile on Friday. A rap movie deserves a rap review. (I'm freestyling!)
Set in 8 Mile Detroit Eminem plays white trash
he lives in a trailer with his mum with no cash.
He has a talent for rhymes, and mix it with the rest,
when he's on top if his game there's no doubt he's the best.
But he's the kinda guy that gets stage fright,
when he has to battle there is always a chance he might
just bottle it and freeze right up,
that's the way it goes, it's just his luck.
Him and his friends want to leave 8 mile,
but who are his friends when foes come with a smile
and take your girl from right under you
and shag her senseless and make you look like a fool.
Eminem is great and has a talent for acting
but the script is poor, and there ain't no pretending
that the story is cliched from the very first word
to the last word, but it's not all turd
the film has energy and the rapping is great
when it reaches the climax, you still believe in fate.
I wasn't expecting much from this movie,
but it gave me all the entertainment it should be,
so four out of five, i give it in stars
as for Eminem, he could go far.
(written without changing a word, as you can probably tell)
