Mouse
Found out that a mouse had used my food cupboard as a toilet over the Xmas break. That karma innit?
Milk
Saw a tramp pouring out those little containers of UHT milk, given out for tea and coffee. He had about 20 of them and nearly had a whole glass of milk.
Beijing Baby Eating
Watched Beijing Swing last night, to see the baby eating controversy. Instead I was confronted by boring people doing boring things. The best thing was the living curtain made out of crabs, lobsters and frogs. Like most modern are it all looks obvious and sensationalist to me. (Am I missing the point?). I also found the presenter, Waldemar Januszczak - art critic at the Sunday Times very intrusive. Too bitchy and opinionated, peppering critique with every other sentence. I didn't give a shit what he thought and I didn't want him to pre-empt the work I was going to see. I want to form my own opinion before you fog my mind, goddamit!
Shanghi Pants
Also watched the critically acclaimed Shanghi Panic, which was also shit. It was Blair Witch crossed with Slackers and in colour. I expect it was controversial in China, because it showed young people taking drugs and talking about AIDS, but it was also stale and cheap. It was a student film. E. Could do better.
(BTW I didn't watch the whole film because I got bored and fell asleep).
