Teaching English In Japan, sometimes things just fall into place

I got a nice surpise this morning. Back in Dec 2002 i applied for JET (Japanese English Teaching), they take 5 months to make decision, so I knew I could leave it on the back burner, and last month i got a letter saying I was on the reserve list to go to Japan. BUT I got a letter from JET this morning saying they've promoted me to the final shortlist and they'll be telling me my contracting organisation (ie which city I'll be placed) by the end of May. So by some bizarre coincidence/divine force, the day after I quit my job, I get a job offer then next morning!

Plus if they don't give me the city I want (Nagoya) I can still hold out cos yesterday I also applied of Nova and Geos, plus I've saved £900 by not doing a tefl course.
