I wrote this on the 6th Sept, but blogger was down

everything is going well. i taught my first full week now at nova, and it's fairly easy. lesson planning is the most difficult bit, and i still have to come in early to plan those damn lesson, but the other teachers are pretty cool, and the students are normally good too.

my branch school is in tajimi, a small town in gifu, the next prefecture along from aichi (i'm living in nagoya which is in aichi prefecture) the train takes about 40 mins, so i don't normally get home until 10pm on a late shift.

been out a few times to a ishikaya, like a pub, but with no bar. you sit and they bring the beer to you. you are give little glasses and big bottles of beer and everyone has to pour for everyone else you you got no idea how much you've drunk. the waiters just keep bringing more and more bottles and we just keep drinking.

the flat is cool, if a little small. flatmates are cool. one is a guy called jeff from oz, and he just drinks all the time. first time i met him he had a beer in hand and drank for nearly 10 hours on his own before i joined him. the other guy is called ennis, from canada. he's cool, but very into his ultimate frisbee. cool. i have a futon, or in other words, a big thick blanket on the floor. it's like i'm kipping in someone elses
flat.

i'm having a good time, still in holiday mode really. got myself a mobile if you wanna call it.
