10 minutes

i have ten minutes to write something before i have to go to the bank. i could go after but then i have to pay 105 yen to use the cash machine. i don't want to do that. i'm thinking about what to write. i heard mary lou lord cover thunder road recently on cd. i love her voice. sounds like the song is singing her, and that the words may actually kill her before she can release them. she stretches her very soul to breaking point so we may see what's inside. never really liked thunder road before i heard her sing it. it's because of grease. in that they race on thunder road. also it has words like hood and chevrolets in it which are terribly american. i always rejected it as loud and vulgar. now i love it, even springsteen's version. i also know why nick hornby likes it too now. only other song i've heard by mary lou lord is a cover of a dylan song. it is also wonderful. i'm thinking of buying her live cover album. took me 7 minutes to write that. 3 minutes left. what else? not much coming to mind. could stay longer and write something else? have to go to supermarket too, buy some vegetables to cook soup. must also buy pork. and milk. need to get some teabags too. this is all very interesting isn't it? time's up. til we meet again.
