di vincy code
i saw the da vinci code yesterday. i left wondering why people find it controversial.
it lacks any kind of real theological argument. it reminded me of indiana jones but without the adventure. or the wit. or the style. the only controversial thing should have been tom hank's haircut. it had more to do than he did.
has anyone read the book and seen the film out there? i want to know something. in the beginning, the monk guy shoots the museum guy. does this happen in the book? i just want to know how, with a fatal bullet wound, does the museum guy get to run around the louvre and write down his secret messages and then strip himself and draw a big red star on himself, before he dies. it must be all the training.
it's always fun to watch sir ian isn't it? when he's not riding on a horse waving his magic wand in battle he's bashing villains with his walking cane and screaming in police cars. god bless him. or should i say mary bless him. i liked audrey tautou's cheekbones too. very pointy.

he was shot in the stomach and realised he had 20 agonising minutes in which to pass on the secrets of the priory of sion before he died.
I've not seen it yet. Most people I know who've read the book and have seen the film say that the film is shite.
they only say that cos they expect people to say that. is the opposite ever true? possible exceptions to the rule: jaws, the godfather, 2001, the shining...
