black people
Why is everyone automatically scared of black people? I know people have asked if there are a lot of black people living in London, if there are a lot in my area, etc etc... I've never had a bad experience with a black guy. None at all. In fact all the confrontations I have are with white guys. To paraphrase Muhammad Ali, no black guy ever called me a chink, or threatened to kick my head in. I admit myself to being wary of them to being with, but the more I think about it, the more false these instincts are. Is it bad media portrayal? They are either a doctor Truman or his gangsta Paul. Have the script writers ever been to London? 3 black men and an Indian girl in a cast of 30 really represent the east end of London? I went to the Tesco Metro on Oxford Street the other day, and all the checkout staff were non white. Why do whites complain about the minimum percentage of minorities in the workforce? They argue that minorities are getting the jobs by virtues of being a minority. What they fail to understand is the minimum percentage does not represent the workforce. All things being equal and fair you should have about 10% being a minority (depending on where you live). The minimum percentage is set to 5% or sometimes lower. If that company is struggling to make that 5%, then there is something rotten about the recruiting process. Something is foul in the system. It is usually the most successful section of society that bleat the loudest. Young, white males who already have the world of opportunity at their feet, and they want more more more. In the game of life, where the odds stacked in their favour, any action to readdress the balance is seen as unfair on them. The views are usually bore from ignorance rather than genuine racist beliefs.
I have yet to see a non white manager or senior staff at this company.
